CogniLearn: Insights from the ReMember-Me Training Workshops | DHU Twinnings
CogniLearn is one of the 8 selected DHU Twinnings, between Greece and Cyprus, aimed at transferring the ReMemberMe system to address cognitive decline.
As part of the CogniLearn twinning, AgeCare from Cyprus organized two training workshops during March, one online and one physical, at the premises of AgeCare in Nicosia. Representatives of OIKANOS from Crete attended both training sessions to be trained in the ReMember-Me system for offering remote care to clients.
π― Objectives: The workshops aimed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively use the ReMember-Me system in their care practices. Participants were engaged in building their understanding of digital health technologies and exploring innovative approaches to remote care management.
π Structure of the workshop: The first part of the workshop was theoretical, where through presentations, interactive discussions, and exercises, the participants were trained on cognition in general and the introduction of the ReMember-Me system. In the second part, which was the physical training in Nicosia, there were hands-on demonstrations and use of the ICT tools of the system. Hands-on exercises allowed participants to apply their learning in real-world scenarios, fostering a deeper understanding of the system’s potential.
π‘ Participant Insights: Participants shared their experiences, highlighting the challenges and lessons learned during the training. They discussed the importance of personalized care planning and the role of technology in improving communication and coordination between caregivers and clients.
π Outcomes: The workshop’s impact reaches beyond the training sessions, setting the stage for ongoing collaboration and innovation in the field of remote care management. Participants will be equipped to meet the evolving needs of their clients and to use technology to improve the quality and efficiency of care delivery.
π Future Implications: They will train their colleagues in OIKANOS and test the system with their clients in remote areas. The lessons learned from the workshop will inform future initiatives and drive progress in the field of remote care.
