Andaman7 is a Belgian-American digital health company founded by Vincent Keunen and focused on improving healthcare and medical research. Economic value to patients
Vincent is thankful for our great medicine. Doctors saved his and his son’s life. So he decided to “pay forward” and included in the Andaman7 a social goal. The app is free and will always be free for all individual users (patients, doctors, nurses, any health professional… anyone). Just download the app from our home page and start using it. As a patient, you can start taking control of your health data – or that of your loved ones (children, seniors, …). As a health professional, you can enjoy a free mobile app to manage the health of your patients. Besides the social goal, we also want to make sure the project is sustainable. Generous investors have put money in the project to help us develop this unique technology (several dozen men years of investment). We would like their investment to be profitable to them. For these reasons, we will request financial contributions from companies and hospitals that want to use our HIP to access patients – but always with patients’ explicit consent.
Maturity
There is evidence for economic viability and/or of benefits to the target group of the practice. Further research/development is needed for routine use.
We can offer our expertise on everything related to data collection from patients, interacting with patients, clinical research tools (ePRO, eConsent, eCRF, anonymisation, pseudonymisation…), our EHR expertise (we built 3 EHRs), interoperability in healthcare & research (FHIR, LOINC, SNOMED, HL7, CDISC, OMOP, ODM,…), PHR – Personal Health Record for patients, (interest in R&D for:) AI, ML, Generative AI (ChatGPT like), mobile software development in healthcare and medical research (Apple/Android).
