Short description
As part of the implementation of the e-governance master plan adopted by the Luxembourg Government, the purpose of the action plan is to define an e-Health sectoral strategic plan for Luxembourg, the aim of which is to create a greater and coordinated dynamic with regard to investment in information and communication technologies (ICT) for the health sector. The action plan is a strategic document that outlines the opportunities offered by ICTs in healthcare and identifies a number of projects and actions to turn these opportunities into reality. It is based on the reflections and active collaboration of players in the sector, and provides political decision-makers with the key elements for defining the national roadmap. The members of the working group recommend that the national roadmap be implemented in a concerted and progressive manner, in close collaboration with the representative bodies of healthcare professionals and other stakeholders in the sector concerned.
