The mAI-Health app (study version) is a research data collection tool used in the Digital biomarkers development, validation, and verification study (dBM-DEV study) (NCT06444789). The study is conducted by the AI-PROGNOSIS Horizon Europe research and innovation project (www.ai-prognosis.eu) that aims to advance the way Parkinson’s disease is diagnosed and managed. The app collects all-day accelerometer and physiological (heart rate, beat-to-beat intervals) data when paired with a compatible smartwatch (Garmin Vivoactive 5), enabling research on motor and sleep behaviour. A Research keyboard comes bundled with the app that, when activated and used, collects key tap-related data during routine typing, enabling the study of fine motor skills and cognitive function through keystroke dynamics. The app also includes three active cognitive tests (N-back, BART, Stop-Signal) and an active motor function test, using body tracking and MDS-UPDRS Part III-based motor tasks. Only participants enrolled in the dbM-DEV study can use the app for the time being.
