The SHIFT-HUB Smart Health App is an e-learning gamified app for both patients and citizens, aimed at enhancing their awareness of health-related matters and fostering healthy lifestyles to promote overall well-being and disease prevention. In response to the mounting challenges faced by the European health and care sectors, such as the escalating burden of chronic diseases, an ageing population and the rising demand for personalised care, SHIFT-HUB’s Smart Health app aims to harnesses the immense potential of digital technologies to contribute to transforming and improving healthcare delivery. The app was launched in June 2024 and is specifically designed to empower individuals by elevating their digital health literacy and promoting a proactive approach to health management in a relaxed and playful way. It contains five different games, which are: • A card association game for disease prevention; • A Drag&Drop game for chronic diseases; • A Basket collection game for cardiovascular diseases; • A quiz for mental disorders; • A simulation game for cancer. Users can directly access the app via this link https://shift-hub.eu/smart-health-app/ and choose the topic and the game they wish to play.
